What is BACE42?

TheoPRO developed Bace42, the Basic Aptitude Compliance Evaluation for Section 42, on the request of several management companies, investors and state agencies.  These key plays expressed the need to ensure site staff responsible for processing applicants of tax credit eligibility, have an understanding of the program.  The need also exists for understanding income eligibility requirements of HUD4350.3, REV-1, CHG2 and the ability to create an accurate Tenant Income Certification without the use of a computer.  TheoPRO has taken these requests and developed an assessment that will continue TheoPRO's mission to help "strengthen our industry". 

About BACE42

*The Bace42 assessment gives management companies an understanding to the level of LIHTC knowledge current and future employees possess.

*BACE42 can also be used as an evaluation during the employee interview process.

*BACE 42 is comprised of 50 multiple choice questions

*It also includes one case study

*The case study is valued based on correct completion of page one of the NCSHA recommended practice Tenant Income Certification form.

*85% or higher, or 51 out of 60, will result in a certificate of recognition.

*Results are grouped by category to help understand where more targeted training may be needed.

*Results are sent out 3-4 weeks after the assessment is taken.

*TheoPRO recommends a TheoPRO One Full Day or One and One-half Day Training as proper preparation before taking the assessment.
